You will create a group of 4 from your classmates and will be preparing a travel brochure for a destination of your choice! The travel brochure should include following;
1. General information about the destination such as geography, history, weather, transportation, etc.
2. Main historical sites and attractions in the destination.
3. Places to dine and stay in the destination.
4. Pictures and images that are appealing to people. (Remember, visuality may be the most lasting feature!)
Each student in the group will play one of the important roles below:
1. Geographer: The geographer of the destination is the person who will be responsible for providing a complete profile of the destination.
2. Historian: The historian of the destination is the person who will be responsible for providing a brief history of the place.
3. Recreationist: The recreationist of the destination is the person who will be responsible for providing information about events and activities that will be appealing to different personalities.
4. Travel Agent: The travel agent of the destination is the person who will be responsible for providing information about the transportation options to and within the destination and the prices for each.
Before you start to work on the process, please check the websites below out and look at the sample travel brochures. When you finish go to the 'Process' tab at the top of the page.
Go to brochure samples1 and brochure samples2 to view some sample travel brochures. These brochures are more detailed in context. Yours will include more specific information of maximum 5 pages.
You have two weeks to complete your project!
